    The Rolling Stones Music Archive

    July 12, 2012 marks the 50th Anniversary of The Rolling Stones first concert which took place at The Marquee Club on Oxford Street in London.  Taking their name from blues icon Muddy Waters’ song “Rollin’ Stone” the band was billed as “The Rollin’ Stones” and later added the “g”.
